Immunity Challenge #3

I'm sure you all are wondering why the challenge is being posted late. That is because I just finished a conversation with both of the Alphas, Jefra and Jon, and they have just finished picking new tribes. That's right, drop your buffs, the game is about the change. Each Alpha took turns alternating between choosing members of the opposite sex, until of course there was only one sex left and they alternated choosing from those who were not yet chosen. The tribes ended up as such:

All your tribe camps will be set up shortly, and graphics will be updated over the course of the evening. You are no longer allowed to communicate with members of your old tribe that are no longer on the same tribe as you are.

Now onto today's Immunity Challenge, titled "Save Our Souls". As you may have deducted from the challenge image, this is a creative distress signal challenge. Each tribe must work together to create a distress signal. The tribe whose distress signal scores the highest average score from a panel of 3 judges will win Immunity. 

The scores are based on the following criteria:

Practicality (out of 10)

How likely is your signal to be seen from above? Points will be awarded based on how effected your signal would be at grabbing the viewers attention.

Creativity (out of 5)

How does it look visually? Points will be awarded based on the quality of the image you produce.

Originality (out of 5)

How unique is your distress signal? Points will be awarded by how orginal your idea is. Taking a risk may result in a big reward in this category.

For the signals each tribe is restricted to using the following items:

Palm Fronds

Bamboo

Sticks

Coconuts

Sand (to spell out words)

Flint and Machete (to create fire)

Fire wood

A crate

A fishing pole

1 luxury item (The Alpha must suggest the item to me, and I must approve it in order for it to be used)

You are not required to use all of the items above; however you are not allowed to use any item that is not on the above list. Doing so will result in points being deducted from your total score. 

As well as creating a signal with the above items, your image must include every member of your tribe.

You have until 10:30 pm EST on Tuesday October 7th to complete this challenge. The image can be no larger than 800 x 800 pixels.

Judge #1

Practicality - A small fire is practical; painting help on leaves is less practical. Having half the castaways just miraculously floating in the ocean; one while carrying fruit; not practical. Drawing in the sand is very practical but could have been done on a larger scale. This in general confuses me.

Creativity - Not sure what was super creative excempt maybe the paint. The rest of it didn't really take much thinking outside of the box.

Originality - As stated under creativity; not much of this was something that hasn't been done before or what you would typically expect. I wouldn't say it was very original at all.

Practicality - 5

practicality- I don't think the signal would would be seen well on a few palm branches. i think they could have used paint in a way more practical way. score- 6

creativity I like the photoshop work. I don't love the survivors they used but thats beside the point. overall though it is visually pleasing. score- 3.5

originality- I think this was lacking a bit. I think it could have been a bit more fun. I feel like I have seen this before.overall it was executed well in a simple fashion which i really like in general. score- 3

Practicality - I mean if you had paint as the luxury item, I don't understand why they chose white, or I guess maybe a light blue if I'm being generous. You literally could choose any colour you wanted and you chose one that doesn't stand out at all. And that's a pretty small fire if its to scale with Hatch. That would not be seen from a distance. I give it a 5/10.

Creativity - I'll give it this its looks good. Very well made and put together, it looks like they actually tried to make everyone look nice and fit into the scene. I give it a 5/5

Originality - To be real, this is pretty average. I mean I guess using the paint and pant brush was a good idea, but they could have pushed the boundaries more. I give them a 3/5.

Practicality - This is a tough category for you. Overall, I think the sign would be seen pretty decently. However, it isn't exactly practical to have Spencer's head disappearing and another head being pulled on a fishing rod. 

Creativity - I like the overall use of branches and leaves and how it appears. Again, the fishing rod pulling the head and random head shaking a machete are just WEIRD. I guess it's different.

Originality - I would say parts of this are super original, not realistic in the slightest though. 

Practicality - 7

Creativity - 3

Originality - 4

practicality- assuming this SOS sign is large then it would be practical to see from above.. but there isn't any depth to show that. score- 6.5

creativity-3.5 i think its a bit grainy (no pun intended) but over it looks pretty good. could use a cleaner look though.

Originality- I love the fishing line, and the machete, and the coconuts being interactive with the survivors. VERY original. score-4

Practicality - A lot of the things here don't make sense together, but at the end of the day at least they're big and you definitely would be able to see them from a distance. I give it a 7/10.

Creativity - I like the gif aspect, but the quality of the image as a whole isn't the greatest. I give it a 3/5

Orginality - I really like how fun and quirky some of the interactions are with this one. I also think using the gifs is a great approach and really made it stand out. I give it a 5/5.

Total: 15/20

So based on the we have a clear winner. The tribe that won Immunity is...

Congratulations Taytay, you have once again won the challenge. Unfortunately for Coron, that means you will be attending Tribal Council where one of you will be voted out of The Survivor Games: Palawan. Also, as the losing Alpha, Jon you are forced to relinquish your role and will not be eligible to be the Alpha in the next challenge.

Tribal Council will be posted shortly.

Your flag was great. I just don't agree with some of the comments the judges made.
ESPECIALLY the one about the castaways we chose.
You guys would have beat us either way, but like come the fuck on at least spell stuff right.
